It started with a computer. A PT3 technology grant from Eastern Illinois University allowed Yankee Ridge Elementary School teacher, Nancy Blanford to purchase a laptop so that she could transfer Architeacher slides about Illinois architectural history to digital format. After studying about the development of building technology with her grade 4/5 students, Nancy had the idea of taking her students to Chicago to see the birthplace of modern architecture. EIU agreed to provide transportation to help Nancy realize her dream.
